Banks brought all the drama and none of the fluff to ACL Live on Friday night. The stage was dark, the bass hit hard, and from the moment she opened with “Guillotine,” the crowd knew they were in for something intense.
Her set blended old favorites with newer tracks like “Love Is Unkind” and “Delulu,” and it all hit just right. Banks’ voice cut through the fog—sometimes soft and haunting, other times big enough to shake the walls. “Gemini Feed” and “Fuck With Myself” still go off live, but songs like “Contaminated” and “Drowning” brought the room to a quieter, more emotional place.
There wasn’t a lot of banter—just bold visuals, razor-sharp movements, and a carefully built atmosphere. She kept things moving with “Meddle In The Mold,” “Move,” and “Direction,” giving the show some grit and swagger. Even slower moments like “Someone New” and “Stay” didn’t drag—they gave the night a little breathing room.
By the time she launched into “Waiting Game” and “Beggin for Thread,” everyone was locked in. People were yelling lyrics, swaying with their eyes closed, just fully in it.
Banks turned pain into power, and the crowd felt every pulse of it.
